More than half a year after the cassette tape release debut from the Portuguese band Nagasaki Sunrise, who describe their sound as Charged Pacific Rim Crust Punk of War, “Turn on the Power” is now available on CD through Miasma of Barbarity Records.
The record, available from July 28th, includes four fast and straight forward tracks (“Turn on the Power”; “Loud as Fuck”; "Napalm in the Morning”; “Dungeon Master”), blending crust punk with the more melodic leads of rock and heavy metal, contrasting with Gasolizna Nagasaki's raw vocals. The lyrics, inspired by the Pacific Rim battles of the second world war, allude to the notion that a rock n' roll song can be as powerful as detonating an atomic bomb.
Nagasaki Sunrise are: Gasolizna Nagasaki on vocals, Iron Fist Nagasaki (Alkateya; Midnight Priest; Veneno Califórnia...) on guitar, Speedfaias Nagasaki (Midnight Priest; Roädscüm...) on bass and War Tank Nagasaki (Midnight Priest; Vürmo,..) on drums.
